Cedar Boulevard to release album ‘Turn To Stone’ on February 3, 2017

Los Angeles band Cedar Boulevard are set to release their debut full length album ‘Turn To Stone’ on February 3, 2017; the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed self titled EP. The 13 track offering combines elements of hard rock with metal and alternative and will be available via all digital outlets as well as physically from the band.

The album was recorded in Lakewood and Irvine, California and Mixed/Mastered in Wooler, Ontario, Canada by Todd Barriage at Borland Studio. The band chose to cover a wide variety of styles, exhibiting blistering guitars and soaring vocals which are contrasted with slower melodic piano and acoustic aspects; all combined with an orchestral approach to give the album a larger than life sound. The tracks range from somber acoustic ballads, heavy riff driven numbers through to an 8 minute long instrumental showcasing the bands musicianship.

Cedar Boulevard is based between LA County and Orange County and formed in mid 2014, and after a few line up changes solidified it’s core line up (Luke Sharp [guitar], Christopher Marin [guitar], Isac Gabriel [vocals]) in early 2015. Since then the band has played the Vans Warped Tour in 2015 on the Ernie Ball Stage. In 2016 the band took an extended period away from live shows in order to focus solely on writing/recording the album that would become ‘Turn To Stone’. With a strong desire to create a unique sound Cedar Boulevard has been described as a musical hybrid likened to Avenged Sevenfold, Pierce The Veil and AFI.

Band Bio
After playing Vans Warped Tour on the Ernie Ball Stage Los Angeles band Cedar Boulevard are poised to take the scene by storm with their unique brand of “hard-hitting, mosh pit-inducing” rock. A combination of soaring choruses, driving vocals resonant of the 80’s, blended with a modern edge of rock and metal. The band easily switches gears from riff driven infernos to melodic ballads.

Founded by guitarist Luke Sharp, who left his life in Australia to pursue his musical aspirations, Cedar Boulevard embodies the honesty and reckless abandon that embedded bands like A Day To Remember and Avenged Sevenfold in the bedrock of the scene. Their five-track, self-titled EP, was released in 2015 and was met with critical acclaim, and with the release of their new 13 track full length album ‘Turn To Stone’ on February 3rd, 2017 the band is set to cement their place among the music elite.
